Job Description
As a Quality Control Manager , you will oversee and direct activities in the Metallurgical and Quality Control Testing Lab. You will supervise inspection employees, ensure compliance with quality standards, and coordinate audits and testing to maintain the highest level of accuracy and integrity in laboratory practices.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Inspection Department employees and assign work based on priority
- Direct and coordinate testing of finished and semi-finished products to ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications
- Calibrate and maintain measuring tools and instruments, ensuring all calibrations are up to date
- Oversee vendor inspections and maintain test reports for compliance
- Conduct and document staff training and performance evaluations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred
- Previous experience in a Quality Control or Metallurgical lab setting
- Strong communication and mathematical skills with the ability to read, interpret, and write reports
- Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and dial indicators
- Strong problem-solving and managerial skills, including training and performance evaluation
- Must be able to pass pre-employment tests

The base salary for this position is $80,000-95,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
