Play a critical role in ensuring that smoked meat and sausage are safe for human consumption when you become a QC Lab Technician for a leading food production manufacturer, Roger Wood Foods in Garden City, GA.
As a Quality Control Lab Technician your main objective in this role is to collect samples, perform laboratory testing according to specific protocols, and document official lab results. Apply today to reserve your path to success with The Reserves Network.

Specific Duties:
- Must maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance and punctuality.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Follow and enforce all Safety, GMP, SOP, LOP, & SSOP procedures.
- Collect and label test samples as needed/requested. When pulling finished product samples for pathogen testing, place all remaining product of that batch in shipping on hold “pending lab results”.
- Perform laboratory testing according to provided protocols, and in accordance with the assigned testing schedule.
- Perform salt and moisture analyses.
- Keep well-organized testing schedules, notes, communications, etc
- Document all test results in real-time in the laboratory result notebook, as well as in the designated spreadsheets in our computer system
What You Need:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Lab work experience, 2 years preferred
- Follow SQF compliance regulations and operating procedures
- Ability to work in a cold environment for long periods of time
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
