Job Description:
As an Agricultural Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, and conveying systems to support operations in a poultry production plant. Your responsibilities include preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, ensuring all equipment functions safely and effectively to meet production goals. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair agricultural machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and conveyor systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with drive chains, gears, belts, motors, and other components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine checks on ventilation, water, feed, egg, and manure systems.
- Perform welding, basic plumbing, and part fabrication as needed.
- Ensure a clean, safe work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical training is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial or facility systems maintenance (poultry/agriculture industry experience preferred).
- Basic electrical knowledge and experience with testing devices.
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in various climates, confined spaces, and heights up to 75 feet.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
