Job Description
As a Plant Accountant, you will manage daily financial operations at our facility, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data. This includes general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, capital project tracking, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting. You will play a key part in supporting month-end closing, assisting with audits, and meeting reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:
– Manage journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
– Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly deposit reports
– Process PO and Non-PO invoices, resolve discrepancies, and maintain AP records
– Support inventory cycle counts and perform reconciliation
– Track and reconcile capital projects; assist in project closing activities
– Serve as backup for Accounts Payable processing including weekly payment reports
– Compile and submit monthly and quarterly reports to Corporate HQ and U.S. Department of Commerce
– Assist with month-end and year-end closings, audits, and property tax forms
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience (required)
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
– Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
– Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

The base pay range for this position is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
