Job Description
As a Peeler Operator, you are responsible for ensuring quality logs are ready and available for the peeler operation in addition to keeping a continuous flow of hole bored logs available to transfer to peeler machine. The operator is also responsible for efficient operation of machinery and for all quality checks and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Select correct log type/wight on log loader panel
- Adjust the gap between roller and blade for correct thickness
- Skin log until uniform
- Feed log into wind-up
- Measure sample of each log on assigned gage
- Tear bad areas of log
- Spray paint thickness, density and machine ID on first log when product changes
- Correctly document all information
- Load peeled log onto conveyor line
- Keep blade sensors clean
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must obey all company safety policies
- Must be able to comprehend English
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- 3-6 months of manufacturing experience

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
