Job Description
As a Payroll Tax Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting accurate and timely tax filings for a large, multi-state payroll operation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Your expertise will contribute to process improvement and ensure a high level of accuracy and customer service for internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns
• Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to tax notices and maintain compliance with current regulations
• Support internal audits and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with payroll and accounting teams on tax-related matters

Qualifications and Requirements:
• 3+ years of payroll tax experience, preferably in a large, multi-state environment
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
• Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel; ERP, Vertex, ADP
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

The base salary range for this position is $75,000–$95,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
