Job Description
As a payment processor for a collection agency, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payments, managing customer accounts, and resolving payment-related issues, while adhering to collection agency procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely process payments received from various sources (e.g., checks, credit cards, electronic transfers).
- Apply payments to the correct accounts and reconcile transactions.
- Generate and distribute payment confirmations or receipts.
- Process refunds or adjustments as needed.
Account Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in payments or accounts.
- Manage customer inquiries related to payments and accounts.
- Document all interactions and actions taken on customer accounts.
Collection Support
- Assist collection agents by providing accurate and timely payment information.
- Identify and flag potential collection issues or delinquent accounts.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collection.
- Prepare reports and data for collection activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Greater attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient knowledge of relevant computer programs such as MS office
- Must be punctual and dependable
- H.S. Diploma
- Customer Service Skills and Retail experience

The base salary range for this position is $16.00 excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
Please note, that hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
