Job Description
The Pallet Repair/Pallet Builder is responsible for constructing new wooden pallets from recycled materials, deconstructed pallets, and/or lumber. In addition, they may repair damaged pallets returned by customers, ensuring they are restored to a service-ready condition. This role includes consolidating and shipping the repaired pallets back to the customer, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all production paperwork with precision and utilize the correct tools and methods for building and repairing pallets.
- Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Managers, ensuring repaired products meet quality standards and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Work independently to meet production quotas, stack and secure pallets properly, and adhere to inventory control instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in using a variety of repair tools effectively and safely.
- Ability to operate a nail gun with precision and efficiency, including loading and unloading nails.
- Proficiency in using both manual and electric saws for cutting wood, metal, or other materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
