Job Description:
This position in the Paint and Powder Coating Department involves setting up, operating, and maintaining coating and painting machines for a variety of metallic enclosures. The role includes preparing and mixing coatings, adjusting machinery for optimal paint flow and finish quality, and conducting visual and equipment-based inspections to ensure products meet specifications. Operators will also perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment to maintain efficiency and safety. The job requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor paint and powder coating machines to finish a variety of metallic enclosures.
- Prepare and mix paints or coatings according to formulas, ensuring correct viscosity and consistency.
- Adjust machine settings—such as temperature, air pressure, and conveyor speed—to achieve proper coating application.
- Inspect products and perform test runs to ensure coating quality meets specifications and standards.
- Maintain and clean coating equipment, spray guns, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Identify and correct equipment issues or deviations from standards during the coating process.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating or maintaining coating, painting, or manufacturing machinery preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment adjustments and maintenance.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality control through visual inspections and testing.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds or more and standing for extended periods in a production environment.

The base pay range for this position is $24-$26/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
