Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with urgent care billing, including in-house laboratory services. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a growing organization from the comfort of your home while working standard business hours
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full revenue cycle process for urgent care services
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims and patient billing
- Ensure accuracy of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for urgent care visits and lab procedures
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denied claims
- Communicate effectively with providers and staff to clarify documentation
- Maintain compliance with federal and payer-specific regulations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 2+ years of urgent care medical billing experience is required.
- Experience billing for in-house lab services strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of coding principles (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
