Job Description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will utilize blueprints and drawings to build and assemble metal bending machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Study and understand blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Utilize equipment including, but not limited to, drill press/hand drill, hand grinder, hand router, rivet equipment, miscellaneous hand tools and torque wrenches to assemble parts
- Visually and dimensionally check own work prior to submitting to inspection
- Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
- Responsible for the accurate recording of all paperwork and labor entries associated with the position
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
- Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles changes, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently

The base salary range for this position is $30 – $35 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range in uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
