Job Description
As the right hand to the Shipping Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk will help coordinate the daily shipping and receiving functions. This includes handling incoming and outgoing shipments, operating tow motors, organizing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
As the right hand to the Shipping Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk will help coordinate the daily shipping and receiving functions. This includes handling incoming and outgoing shipments, operating tow motors, organizing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Shipping Manager in all shipping and receiving operations
- Load and unload trucks using tow motors (forklifts) safely and efficiently
- Prepare and verify shipments and documentation for accuracy
- Receive incoming materials and inspect for damage or discrepancies
- Maintain organized records of inventory, receipts, and shipments
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics
- Keep the shipping/receiving area clean, safe, and organized
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory control efforts
- Monitor material at the machines and dispatch additional stock as needed to maintain steady production flow.
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience working closely with shipping/logistics leadership
- Knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with freight and LTL shipping procedures
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Tow motor/forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced setting
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory software)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

The base salary range for this position is starting at $16.00/hr excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
