Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for a temp to hire position with a growing company known for its commitment to excellence and quality service in the Conroe area. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, handling, and storing materials within the warehouse or production facility. Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, or containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Track and document the movement of materials in and out of the facility. Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Perform routine inspections of cranes and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards. Identify and report potential hazards.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas to optimize space and facilitate easy access for production or shipping.
- Work closely with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient material movement. Communicate effectively to avoid delays and ensure workflow continuity.
- Inspect materials for quality and report any discrepancies or defects to the appropriate department.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years’ experience as a material handler and crane operator in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Certification in crane operation is required.
- Proficient in operating cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth
