Play a critical role as a maintenance technician when you partner with a leading company that provides different services to protein manufactures such as racking, freezing, and transportation components in a cold storage setting in Council Bluffs, IA.
What matters most as a maintenance technician:
- Pay of $25 to $35 an hour
- On-site position located in the Council Bluffs area
- 2nd shift

Your new role as a maintenance technician:
- Monitor building system operations and performance.
- Possess several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and repairs on all mechanical assets impacting the operation of the facility. Including but not limited to Material Handling Equipment, Ammonia Refrigeration Equipment, Office HVAC, Dock Doors, Dock Plates, Facility Physical Structures, and Exterior Grounds.
- Install and repair electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic components, and systems.
- Check and maintain HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly. Clean unit coils, replace filters and adjust according to outside temperature as directed.
- Repair all mechanical equipment as directed.
- Inspect roofs and drains regularly.
- Diagnose and repair defective equipment using prints, service manuals and parts catalogs.
- Maintains and follows the Process Safety Management requirements as required by OSHA and EPA for ammonia refrigeration systems
What you need as a maintenance technician:
- Mechanical background
- Basic welding experience desired
- Experience performing building maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance or ammonia refrigeration maintenance preferred.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit and be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including evenings and weekends, if needed.
