Junior Test Technician

Pay Rate: $19 / hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Location: Plano, TX
World-wide electronics manufacturer is looking for an experienced Junior Test Technician to join their team.
As A Member of This Team:
- Assist in performing production testing on systems and sub-assemblies prior to shipment to the customer.
- Support in verifying systems are correctly built and configured to customer order/settings.
- Participate in the production testing of Company products according to test procedures and factory specifications. Help generate electronic standard test reports.
- Assist in reviewing Test Reports from other testers under supervision.
- Aid in diagnosing defective systems to the module level with guidance.
You Will Need:
- An associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- One to two years of experience in electronics testing or a related field is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, including analog circuits, power electronics, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
- Ability to read and understand diagrams and wiring schematics; some familiarity with electrical wiring and protection in AC/DC power environments is beneficial.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to identify and resolve basic technical product issues.
- High attention to detail.
- The position may require long periods of standing, using a computer, and working with electronics test equipment. Additional physical requirements include sitting, bending, hand dexterity, reaching, speaking, and seeing, as well as the ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to six feet tall, and distinguish color differences. Familiarity with hand tools and the operation of multi-meters, loads, and test fixtures is a plus.
