Job Description
The IT Service Desk Analyst is a key member of the IT Infrastructure team, providing high-quality technical support and customer service to end users across the organization. This role responds to incoming IT support requests, evaluates and diagnoses issues, resolves problems when possible, and escalates more complex incidents appropriately. The analyst ensures accurate ticket documentation, monitors systems for alerts and outages, and coordinates response efforts for major incidents. Through effective communication, sound judgment, and adherence to established procedures, this role helps minimize downtime, protect productivity, and ensure reliable IT services.

Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end users, delivering timely and professional customer service
- Respond to, assess, and troubleshoot incoming IT service requests via ticketing systems
- Determine the full scope and impact of reported issues and prioritize requests accordingly
- Resolve routine technical issues and escalate complex or critical incidents to appropriate teams
- Ensure complete and accurate ticket documentation, including problem details, troubleshooting steps, and resolution or diagnosis
- Monitor company systems using provided tools, respond to alerts, and notify appropriate stakeholders per documented procedures
- Coordinate and manage major incidents and system outages as the technical analyst
- Use existing documentation to troubleshoot issues and recommend updates or improvements as needed
- Collect and validate required information before escalating tickets to ensure efficient resolution
- Handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with company policies
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- Two or more years of experience in an IT support, service desk, or related technical role
- Working knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures
- Preferred experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Preferred knowledge of PC hardware, communication hardware, and related software
- Familiarity with departmental IT practices and procedures
- Ability to use personal computers and standard input devices, including keyboards
- Strong analytical ability to assess business information needs and technical issues
- Sound judgment to resolve routine problems independently and escalate unusual or high-impact issues
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact tactfully with internal and external contacts
- Ability to work with confidential data responsibly and accurately
- Attention to detail and ability to document technical issues clearly and thoroughly

The Pay Rate range for this position is $28 – $39 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
