Job Description
Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy building, assembling, and working with your hands? We are seeking a dependable Installer / Shop Assembler to join a growing environmental equipment manufacturer in Joliet, Illinois.
In this role, you'll assemble commercial equipment and mechanical systems using hand and power tools, prepare finished products for shipment, maintain inventory, and help ensure the shop operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical systems and equipment using hand and power tools.
- Build equipment kits and complete production assemblies according to specifications.
- Prepare finished products for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
- Restock inventory and organize parts in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform weekly inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and toolbox talks.
- Participate in all safety initiatives and proactively identify opportunities to improve workplace safety.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse support as needed.
- Perform additional duties assigned to support production and operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
- Previous assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, construction, installation, or mechanical experience preferred.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools required.
- Experience reading work instructions, assembly drawings, or blueprints is a plus.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
