Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Finance Business Analyst with hands-on experience administering the BlackLine financial close platform. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth financial close and reconciliation operations by managing system configuration, user access, reporting, and integrations. The position partners closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT to enhance automation, strengthen internal controls, and drive process efficiency across the close cycle.

This role is responsible for ensuring smooth financial close and reconciliation operations by managing system configuration, user access, reporting, and integrations. The position partners closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT to enhance automation, strengthen internal controls, and drive process efficiency across the close cycle.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily administration and maintenance of BlackLine modules (Reconciliations, Journals, Task Management, and Transaction Matching).
- Configure and optimize system workflows, approval structures, and reconciliation templates.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and overall system security.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendor support.
- Lead system enhancements, version upgrades, and module implementations.
- Provide user training, documentation, and technical support to Finance and Accounting teams.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify automation and process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain integration between BlackLine, ERP, and other financial systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Produce reports, dashboards, and key metrics to support close processes and audits.
- Support compliance activities and maintain audit-ready documentation for system changes and financial processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–7+ years of experience supporting or administering BlackLine or similar financial close tools.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and the financial close process.
- Experience with ERP systems and data integration (SFTP, APIs, or connectors).
- Proficiency with Excel; knowledge of SQL, VBA, or scripting is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit requirements.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred.
- BlackLine certification or prior formal training a plus.
- Exposure to tools like SAP, Oracle, Workday, Power BI, or Tableau beneficial.

The Pay Rate range for this position is $45 – $62 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
