Job Description
Are you an experienced Commercial or Industrial Electrician looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking skilled Facility Electricians to support electrical systems and facility operations within a modern, high-tech manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations while ensuring equipment and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Inspect and maintain electrical panels, breakers, transformers, motors, lighting systems, outlets, and power distribution equipment.
- Install, repair, and replace electrical wiring, conduit, switches, and related components.
- Respond to electrical work orders and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Maintain inventory of electrical parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed.
- Assist with general facility maintenance projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and building repairs when required.
- Follow all OSHA, NEC, company safety, and electrical compliance standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical school or vocational training in Electrical Technology preferred.
Experience
- Minimum three years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical distribution systems, motor controls, lighting systems, and industrial equipment.
- Journeyman Electrician License (active or expired) strongly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or commercial facilities preferred.
- Experience with building automation systems, HVAC controls, or cleanroom environments is a plus.
Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and one-line schematics.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Willingness to respond to emergency maintenance calls when necessary.
