Job Description
The Facilities Assistant supports the daily operational needs of the organization by maintaining clean, safe, and organized office and classroom environments. This role includes routine maintenance, equipment setup, and assisting with facility-related logistics. The ideal candidate is hands-on, service-oriented, and collaborative. This is a vital role in ensuring smooth workplace operations and a functional learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Facilities Manager with maintenance across office and off-site locations
- Conduct preventive maintenance and basic repairs
- Track and manage inventory and work orders
- Assemble and install office/classroom furniture
- Set up and relocate classroom/office spaces as needed
- Provide tech support and training for staff using BEI devices
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of classroom spaces
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Technical certification or relevant experience
- Proficiency with tools and ability to perform light repairs
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable driving with rented vans or trucks
- Cultural awareness and adaptability
