Job Description
Our partner is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will transform raw materials into finished products by cutting, bending, welding, and shaping metals. This position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and experience in metal fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop sketches to determine product specifications and dimensions
- Utilize power and hand tools, such as grinders, saws, and drills, to cut and shape metal pieces
- Operate specialized welding machines, including MIG, TIG, and Arc (stick) welders, to assemble metal components
- Assemble jigs and fixtures to secure workpieces during fabrication
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality and customer standards
- Participate in team meetings to provide project updates and collaborate with colleagues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as welding techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
