Job Description of Electronics Lab Tech
Do you love verifying and quantifying performance? Our client is seeking an Electronics Lab Technician to evaluate both new and existing DPC/DAT copper connectivity products, competitive products, and new designs before production. This role involves interfacing with UL and other compliance agencies to ensure products meet required TIA/IEEE/ISO standards.
Responsibilities of Electronics Lab Tech
- Conduct R&D testing of new and existing product designs for internal and external customers.
- Maintain communication with the design team regarding test progress and results, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Perform electrical/mechanical agency certification testing, ensuring timely product introductions to the market.
- Maintain, calibrate, and repair all lab equipment, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
- Design and construct testers, fixtures, and procedures as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements for Electronics Lab Tech
- Associate degree in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in an electrical/mechanical testing environment (structured cabling industry experience is a plus).
- Experience with hardware test equipment such as network analyzers, digital multimeters, mechanical measurement systems, and spectrum analyzers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and presentation software; LabView programming experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.

Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
