Job Description
Database Administrator needed for a well-respected client based in Omaha, Nebraska. The role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects in a supportive and dynamic work environment. We are seeking an experienced database professional to lead the design, development, and ongoing support of advanced database environments. This position is hands-on and will focus on optimizing database performance, ensuring security protocols, maintaining data integrity, and resolving complex technical issues across diverse database systems. The role will require expertise in both traditional relational databases and modern cloud-based data platforms. Examples of technologies in use may include DB2, SQL Server, mainframe databases, and cloud services like Amazon RDS, Aurora, or DynamoDB.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and maintain database structures and storage systems
- Oversee system performance while safeguarding data accuracy and protection
- Diagnose and address advanced issues related to database accessibility and functionality
- Plan, test, and implement updates and patches for database management software
- Create and refine complex database queries to enhance efficiency
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to team members and less experienced colleagues
- Participate in after-hours support and ensure timely completion of project milestones
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable discipline; or equivalent professional experience
- Over five years of experience in IT, with a minimum of three years focused on database management and administration
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems and multi-tier client-server environments
- Excellent analytical abilities combined with effective communication skills for technical topics
- Proven experience managing database protection, data backup strategies, and restoration processes
- Comfortable working within Agile methodologies, including frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $130,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
