Job Description
We’re seeking a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines in a cloud-based environment, ensuring efficient ingestion, transformation, and storage of structured and unstructured data. This role is essential for enabling secure, high-performance data operations through strong engineering practices and governance standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage cloud-based data architecture and pipelines using Azure Data Lake and Databricks
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python, PySpark, and SQL to process data from external sources
- Monitor pipeline performance and resolve issues related to quality, latency, and failures
- Implement data cleansing techniques and uphold governance standards around sensitive and regulated data
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3–5 years of experience working with cloud data platforms, specifically Azure, Databricks, and Data Lake Storage
- Proficiency in building ETL solutions using Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Strong understanding of data governance practices, especially those related to PII and regulatory compliance
