Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to provide administrative and customer support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a vital role in processing customer orders, coordinating documentation, supporting production, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the order fulfillment process.
Responsibilities:
- Enter customer purchase orders accurately into the ERP system
- Create job folders and maintain contract review documentation
- Update customer order information and ensure system accuracy
- Prepare shipping documentation, proof of delivery, and customer reports
- Assemble shop/work order packets to support production scheduling
- Monitor customer portals and communicate updates to internal departments
- Research and resolve customer inquiries, order discrepancies, and billing issues
- Maintain order tracking logs, reports, and customer documentation
- Initiate and document customer quality alerts when necessary
- Provide general clerical support and backup telephone coverage
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and administrative projects
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-5 years of customer service, clerical, or administrative experience within a manufacturing setting
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments in a manufacturing environment
