Job Description
As a Customer Service / Accounts Receivable Expeditor, you will play a key role in supporting order processing, invoicing, and customer interactions. You will be responsible for coordinating sales orders, resolving customer inquiries, and managing accounts receivable functions. This position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Print and send invoices to customers daily
- Enter customer purchase orders and coordinate sales orders with invoices
- Follow up with customers regarding orders, complaints, and payments
- Work closely with sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints and assist in resolution
- Coordinate the shipment of orders with the Warehouse Supervisor
- Manage customer returns and corrective actions
- Contact customers for overdue payments and monitor accounts receivable status
- Run Balance of Overdue Accounts Reports and provide updates to management
- Apply account adjustments (debit/credit memos) in the PLEX system
- Communicate with Sales and Plant Managers regarding account holds and status updates
- Support customers by providing invoices, delivery receipts, and resolving inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of collection calls and transactions
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Experience in customer service within a manufacturing environment is required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to respond to customer inquiries professionally
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, percentages, and ratios)
- Computer proficiency, including experience with ERP systems (PLEX preferred)
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
