Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CNC/Manual Machinist to operate lathes, milling machines, and other equipment to meet precise customer specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining methods, measurement tools, and close-tolerance work. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a high-performing manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual and CNC lathes and milling machines
- Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications
- Maintain precise tolerances in microns
- Use and maintain precision measuring and inspection equipment
- Perform routine machine maintenance and follow housekeeping practices
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of manual machining experience required
- Ability to read and use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers (English & Metric)
- Experience with blueprint reading, runout, taper, and surface finish measurements
- Ability to lift 50-60 lbs and work extended hours on concrete floors
