Job Description
Our client, an independent oilfield services company, is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to setup and operate CNC Mill Machines. In this role, you’ll setup and operate CNC machinery in all phases of operation. Apply today to secure your path to success with The Reserves Network!
Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions.
- Identify, produce and gauge a variety of straight and taper threads, including Acme and buttress
- Measure, mark and otherwise indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material to be used as guides for subsequent machining.
- Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines to include mills, lathes and grinders.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Requires one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school or a minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience working with various taper threads, such as Straight and Taper Threads.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in machining tasks.
- Must have own toolbox and tools.
