Job Description
As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts. Lot sizes typically range from 1 to 30 pieces, and precision and quality are prioritized over high-volume production.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation, including loading and securing materials, tools, and fixtures.
- Load and unload workpieces into the CNC machine using hoists, cranes, or other lifting equipment.
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings, tool offsets, and workpiece positions to maintain quality standards and achieve desired results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process, such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, or dimensional deviations.
- Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Vertical CNC Machining Center position.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a solid understanding of setup and operation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials.
- Familiarity with M-code and G-code.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform accurate dimensional inspections.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience with Mori Seiki Mill and Okuma Vertical Mill is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to CNC machining.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment tests

The base salary for this position is $35/hr.($30/hr. while training on 1st shift), excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
