Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated CNC Laser Operator for a temp to hire position with a growing company known for its commitment to excellence and quality service in the Conroe area. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and modify metal or other materials as per specifications. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines, including configuring machine parameters (e.g., speed, power, and focus) based on material and cutting requirements
- Load and unload materials onto the machine bed and secure workpieces as needed.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshooting on the laser machine to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to program the laser cutting machine.
- Adjust machine settings and calibrate the laser for different materials and thicknesses to ensure precise cuts.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Measure parts with precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or defects in materials or finished products.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or certification in laser machine operation, CNC machining, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic machine maintenance.
- Knowledge of different materials (e.g., metals, plastics) and their cutting properties.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools and instruments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth
