Schedule: Part Time Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 2:30 pm | Salary: $9.50 an hour
We are looking for a dedicated Classroom Aide to join our team and support our primary classroom staff. In this role, you will rotate between classrooms within the Center, allowing teaching team members to take breaks while ensuring that the staff-to-student ratio remains compliant. Your responsibilities will include providing support to classroom staff in the absence of a regular Substitute Teacher Assistant, assisting with the setup and cleanup of meal services, and handling laundry tasks such as washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens for the classrooms. What you will be doing:
- Rotate between classrooms within the Center to provide breaks for primary classroom staff while ensuring appropriate staff-to-student ratios.
- Support classroom teaching staff to maintain required ratios, particularly in the absence of a regular Substitute Teacher Assistant.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup related to meal services in the classrooms.
- Handle laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens for classrooms.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the Center.
What is Required:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required; Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with children ages birth to three years.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff.
- Regularly required to walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, and hear, with occasional need to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds frequently, with specific vision abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
