One of our most trusted clients in the Humble area is seeking a Certified Professional Coder who will provide quality reviews and analyses of a wide range of patient medical records ensuring accuracy of coding and maintaining records following the applicable medical and legal standards. Certified Professional Coder’s Responsibilities
- Identify discrepancies, potential quality of care, and billing issues that may arise.
- Research, analyze, recommend, and facilitate a plan of action to correct discrepancies and prevent future coding errors.
- Identify reportable elements, complications, and other procedures.
Certified Professional Coder’s Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or in the process of obtaining one is required.
- Two (2) years of experience in coding cardiology and vascular procedure is required; Orthopedics or Podiatry experience is highly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer skills is required.
