Play a critical role in the operations of a leading company within the flooring industry in Opelika, AL. Our local reputable client is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. As part of their finance department, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring thorough account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain company financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings, financial reporting, and tax documentation.
- Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Qualifications or Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
