Job Description:
As a Medical Billing Specialist manages the payment aspect of healthcare, submitting claims to insurance companies, verifying coverage, and handling patient inquiries and payment arrangements.
Responsibilities:
- Enter medical procedure codes into medical software
- Enter patient demographics into billing software
- Answer patient calls, provide friendly customer service, maintain confidentially
- Handle credit card payments over the phone
- Document patient accounts accurately
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical billing or administrative role.
- Experience with entering medical billing tickets and codes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The base pay range for this position is $16.00-$18.00, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, that hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future increases.
