Job Description
A well-established Omaha law firm has a full-time Legal Assistant opportunity supporting one attorney in a fast-paced, professional setting. This 100% onsite role is ideal for a bilingual (Spanish English) professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct administrative support to one attorney
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Manage case files and ensure all documents are accurately organized and filed
- Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions
- Track deadlines and manage attorney’s calendar
- File legal documents with the court (electronically and in person)
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Perform other office tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar administrative role in a legal setting
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work 100% onsite with consistent reliability
- Experience with litigation or workers’ compensation is a plus
