Bilingual Job Developer’s Responsibilities:
- Work with area partners to identify potential employers and develop a marketing strategy.
- Contact new companies to promote hiring of refugees.
- Review employment websites daily and periodicals weekly.
- Follow-up with interested companies through personal visits and meetings and maintain a case file for each client.
- Provide pre-employment orientation and counseling to clients.
- Provide transportation as needed to job interviews and assignments.
Bilingual Job Developer’s Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with one year of related experience; or a high school diploma with 4 years of related experience is required.
- One year of previous experience working with refugees or previous experience working in recruiting, staffing, and job placements is required.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual in Spanish is required.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some late nights and weekends.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
- Must have current vehicle inspection sticker and vehicle registration.
