Project Accountant
Location: Dallas, TX
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm
Pay rate: $20-28/hour
We are hiring a Project Accountant for an engineering firm. You will play a vital role in managing financial transactions related to accounts receivable within the organization. Focus on collecting payments, tracking accounts, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
What You Will Do:
- Create and complete financial reports, narratives, and forms for projects
- Review project budgets and costs, and analyze budget variances
- Handle client billing and assisting with invoice submittal
- Ensure compliance with contractual reporting obligations and financial documentation
- Support project teams with contract management
- Assist project managers with establishing project set-up in the project system
- Other job duties assigned
What You Need:
- High school diploma/GED
- 2+ years working experience in accounting
- Data entry skills
- Basic-to-intermediate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office software
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with Deltek Vision preferred
- Experience in service industry, preferably in an engineering or architectural firm
