Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Oncology Nurse Clinician on a direct hire basis. As part of our multidisciplinary oncology team, you’ll play an essential role in coordinating and delivering high-quality care to cancer patients across outpatient and clinical settings. You’ll collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to ensure seamless care throughout each patient’s treatment journey
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for oncology patients.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other complex IV medications using established safety and aseptic protocols.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions, initiating timely interventions as necessary.
- Coordinate care and communication among physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and symptom management, adapting teaching styles for comprehension and comfort.
- Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and families navigating cancer treatment.
- Lead or participate in quality and safety initiatives that advance oncology nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
- Serve as a mentor and advocate for other nurses, promoting professional growth and ethical clinical practice.
- Maintain thorough documentation in the electronic medical record to ensure accurate, integrated care delivery.
- Support providers during procedures and assist with telephone triage as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- At least five (5) years of RN experience, including oncology nursing experience
- Current Texas RN license (or temporary permit with permanent license obtained within 90 days)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Oncology Nursing Certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred
- Ambulatory oncology experience is preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills is preferred
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS, chemotherapy administration, or moderate sedation is preferred

The base pay range for this position is $180,000-$215,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
